Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
I believe when we control our minds and think as this verse says, it gives God a great ability to bless us. As we dwell on what is true and positive we will be protected from discouraging and destructive thoughts. It allows the Spirit to fill our hearts and live through us.
